The theme of the 2018 show is “Off the Beaten Path”. The Roslyn Art Fest Juried Art Show emphasizes visual arts. The show invites submissions of photographs, two-dimensional and three-dimensional art. The maximum size of two dimensional art is 20” x 24” (excluding frame). Maximum size of three-dimensional is 12” x 12”. The deadline for submissions is July 8. Works sold while displayed will be charged a 40% commission. All items must be available for sale. The juror is a nationally known artist with extensive art-show judging experience. Cash awards are given. There will be additional art exhibits by individual artists in downtown Roslyn businesses.

The Wine Reception will be held from 7:00 to 9:30 in Basecamp Books and Bites in downtown Roslyn. Wine will be available for sale as well as a commemorative wine glass. Music will be provided by a local Roslyn band. Art awards will be announced in during the evening.
During the reception, for a mere $20, guests can buy a ticket for the Wine Grab. Wine Grab ticket holders choose a bottle as they check out of the event that evening. Bottles of wine will be anonymous and beautifully presented in paper bags decorated by local artists. Wines may be worth up to $65. Some bags will contain additional prices donated by local businesses.
The Roslyn Business Owners and RTown Community are excited to bring you the 2018 Roslyn Street Dance. Pennsylvania Avenue between 1st and 2nd street will be closed off for a family-friendly street dancing. Music will be provided by the amazing and talent Dynamite Supreme! Dancing starts at 7:30 so bring your dancing shoes! No entrance fee but donations are welcome!
“TRY-IT” Art for Families and Youth. Art in Roslyn volunteers along with community parents will host a number of “TRY-IT” art stations in Roslyn during the Festival. TRY-IT stations in the past have offered mini-workshops in clay art, hat making, water color painting and rubber stamp making. All children and adults are welcome to participate. Artists are invited to set up a working space on a downtown Roslyn sidewalk to both create and sell art. Artists must be working on a piece in public view. At least two six-foot grids are available for display if needed. We ask that artists donate a 20% commission on pieces sold.
